Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust is again affected by Norovirus (diarrhoea and vomiting). Currently there are several patients affected.

Norovirus and gastro-enteritis illnesses continue to be prevalent in the local community. Norovirus is the most common cause of infectious gastroenteritis and is spread easily between people and this puts our patients at risk.

The hospital would like to reiterate to anyone who has experienced any symptoms of diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 48 hours they should NOT visit.

Visiting is only permitted for one hour in the afternoon, 2pm - 3pm and one hour in the evening, 6.30pm - 7.30pm or please avoid visiting if not essential.  We strongly advise that children under 12 and older people do not to visit the hospital at all.
